Katsucon 2013

I’m headed to Katscuon 2013 this February and I’ll be presenting the second in my Anime Mythology Presentations: Knights & Dragons.

I’ve updated much of this presentation from when I first presented it back in 2007 at the Schoolgirls and Mobilesuits academic conference at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, and I’m looking forward to sharing my new insights at Katsucon!

I’ll be presenting Anime Mythology: Knights and Dragons on:
Sunday, February 17th at 12:15pm in Live Events 3.

Don’t miss it! For those who may not be familiar with my Anime Mythology presentations, you can watch a trailer for them below or else here on YouTube.

See you at Katsucon!

  1. I saw your pannel at Katsucon and I really enjoyed it and thought it was quite interesting. I saw your name on the guest list for Otakon this year, and I was wondering if you were going to do another one of your presentations there. If so, which one are you planning to present?

    • Funny you should ask that!

Yes, I will be doing one of my mythology presentations at Otakon. However, we have not decided which one yet.

I should be contacting them soon to see which of the 5 they are most interested in. Do you have any preferences? I assume you’d like to see something other than my Knights and Dragons presentation since that’s the one I performed at Katsucon.

      • They all seem really interesting, but I think the two that struck me most was #3. Mystics, Priestesses & Warrior Women and #5. Evangelion: The Artist’s Phyche as Myth. Those I think seemed the most intriguing to me, but they all seem cool so any is fine.

        • I’ve contacted the powers that be at Otakon and we’ll be able to decide on a panel once the date of the convention gets closer. I’ll make sure to announce which panel I’ll be performing here on the blog section of Mythology and Meaning. Thanks again for your interest!

          • I’m so glad I could help!
